Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10 and Keyworth Turkey Trot Half Marathon were among the few races to take place amid weather warnings
SNEYD CHRISTMAS PUDDING 10, December 8
Sneyd Striders managed to hold their event in Walsall on Sunday after volunteers from the club rose at 6.30am to clear two fallen trees, including a 75ft conifer, that were blocking the route for the 600-strong field.
The club said: “The race went ahead on schedule in breezy but dry conditions, a welcome relief from the heavy rain of last year.”
