World 1500m champion in 2022 will visit the store, which is run by middle-distance runner Jamie Williamson
Jake Wightman will be a special guest at the new Kinisi Run Hub in Bristol on September 22.
The store is run by Jamie Williamson and supported by his parents Graham and Carole. Jamie has run 3:41.59 for 1500m while Graham was one of Britain’s finest middle-distance runners in the 1980s with a PB of 3:34.01 and held the Scottish mile record for 40 years until Wightman, Josh Kerr and Neil Gourley came along.
Racing under her maiden name of Bradford, Carole is a two-time world road race bronze medallist.
The store officially opened in August and offers a state-of-the-art running experience, featuring a synthetic track surface sourced from this year’s World Indoor Championships in Glasgow.
The store provides a unique shoe-fitting service, analysing data gathered by advanced foot-scanning technology that captures both photos and videos of the foot’s movement to help customers find their perfect shoe.
Wightman will be available for an open drop-in session on September 22 from 1-3pm, at the Kinisi Hub, which is in the Bedminster area of Bristol, followed by a 90-minute Q&A session for ticketed guests.
